Long Island Landscapes, Prelude
Opening Reception
Friday April 15, 2016, 7:30- 9:30 pm at GOFA

My solo exhibition, "Long Island Landscapes, Prelude" will have its' Opening Reception on Friday April 15, 2016, 7:30- 9:30 pm at GOFA, the Gallery of Fine Art at Manhasset Secondary School, located at 200 Memorial Drive, Manhasset, NY. All are welcome.

The show will include 24 new paintings from locations around Long Island. All works are for sale and 30% of all proceeds will go to the art education program at Manhasset.

GOFA was created by Michael Sansone, Chair of the Manhasset Art Department along with substantial help from the community. The Gallery is designed to give art students real world experience in the business of curating and promoting art while interacting with and learning from the professional artists who will show there.

Working with Michael and his students, I am reminded of my own high school art teacher, Philip Greenberg, who believed in me and encouraged my work when everyone else was telling me to be something else. Dedicated teachers can change a student's life forever and I am honored to be part of this unique gallery, and to help these students pursue their dreams. ~Dave
